Our final lecture will be delivered by Dr Paul Gosling on 3 November. Paul has contributed a very comprehensive article to the forthcoming Westmeath History and Society Series on the medieval history of Mullingar. Many will also remember his excellent tour of medieval Mullingar conducted as part of Heritage week during the summer. His talk will focus on how we can use maps to construct a visual image of past landscapes and cultures again with the focus on Westmeath.
